Worth strings for bass ukulele use a special material that gives them a longer duration. Polyurethane has traditionally been used to make transmission belts, so its stretch resistance is magnificent. Compared to the previous silicone strings, the ukulele strings of Worth have no finger grip, and can be used without talcum powder, as they slip on their own.

The sound is still that of an acoustic double bass, with enough body and a warm tone.

This set of strings for the Kala UBASS ukulele is equivalent to the original strings, and since August 2010 when it entered the market, it has not had any customer complaint for breakage of their strings.
